Annapurna Base Camp is one of the most trekked trekking places in Nepal. Located at 4130m above sea level. This is a place to enjoy the panoramic mountains view at 360 degrees angles. Annapurna first is the tenth highest mountain peak in the world with a height of 8091m. And it has beautiful mountain ranges such as Annapurna first, second, third, fourth, and Annapurna South. The Annapurna Base Camp and Annapurna Circuit trek are the most popular trek inside the Annapurna Conservation Area. Trek to ABC is a dream for all the adventure lovers and to have lunch at Annapurna Base Camp with the view of the mighty mount Annapurna first and other associate mountain peaks.
To reach Annapurna Base Camp will take 6 nights 7 days. The journey commences a drive from Pokhara to Nayapul but nowadays the road goes all the way to a place called Matque. This means this trip can be shorter and easy for all travelers. But the way up there is quite difficult because of the high altitude. Need to do lots of ups and down to reach and the most famous up is that the 5000 steps from Chhomrong to Sinuwa. Need to walk through the forest of Rhododendron and Bamboo and crossing small streams and waterfalls.
The hotels in the Annapurna Base Camp are the mountain standard and they serve delicious foods. Although this place is forbidden to bring and eat meat there. However, if anyone wants to cook their own food that is also possible to use the kitchen of Hotels and need to pay a little amount of using their gas to cook.
HOW TO GET INTO THE ABC 4130M.
To reach in ABC if the trip starts from Kathmandu first drive or flight to Pokhara. Drive to Pokhara will take around 7 to 8 hours by tourist bus and by private vehicle will take 5 to 6 hours. Another option to get in Pokhara is to fly, Flight to Pokhra will take around 3o minutes. In both drive and fly there is a chance to enjoy the breathtaking views of landscapes, villages, and snowy mountain peaks.
From Pokhara, the only option is to drive to Nayapul, Ghandruk, Kimche, and Matqu. From these places, the trek will starts. The first day will be at Chhomrong or Sinuwa, Second day will be Himalayan or Deurali. If prefer to have lunch when arrived at ABC then better to sleep at Deurali, not in the Himalayan.
Hire a helicopter for half day from Pokhara, is one of the easy but expensive options to go ABC. It’s kind of lavish and expensive and more easy option to have lunch on the lap of the world’s 10th highest peak with the breathaking view of mountain peaks.
HOW MUCH IT DOES COST TO HAVE LUNCH AT ANNAPURNA BASE CAMP
Only for have a food at ABC is not that expensive it cost around 15 to 25 US dollars per perosn but to get in there is expensive. First need to arrange trekking permits and then hire transporations, guide and porters.
