Mardi Himal is one of the trekking peaks in the Annapurna Himalaya range. It lies in the Kaski district at 5587 m above sea level. This is one of the easiest mountain peaks to climb in Nepal. Just below Mount Machhapuchhre – the most attractive mountain peaks in Nepal. “Mardi Himal was first ascended by Basil Goodfellow in 1961 AD” information from Wikipedia.
To reach Mardi Himal, need to follow the route of the Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek. Which can start from Phedi or Kande. Then follow the Australian Camp, Dhampus, Forest Camp, Low Camp, High Camp, and Mardi Himal Base Camp. To be in this beautiful mountain peak there is no need to have mountaineering skills but needs healthy health, and previous experience of hiking is helpful.
Along the way need to walk through the dense forest, naked land, tiny trail on the rid of the hill, and stone trekking trail. Dramatic landscapes and the typical villages also need to cross to put the footprint in the Mardi Himal. The magnificent view of snow-capped mountain peaks, villages, and landscapes from different sides of the walking trail is just amazing.
Many trekking and expedition companies offer trekking to the base camp and expedition to this beautiful trekking peak. Although this trekking trail was recently opened in 2012 for the trekkers and mountaineers. That is why this is a newly opened and less trekkers trekking trail in Nepal. Also, this area is known as the holy mountain region in the Annapurna Conservation area.
Nepal has all four seasons. But the best time to be in the Mardi Himal is Spring (March, April, and May) and Autumn (October, November, and December). Because In these months the weather conditions of this area are perfect for trekking, hiking, and climbing this trekking peak.
However, in summer and wintertime also people travel to this land. Unfortunately, during this time the mountain view will not be that good and very cold to be in there. That is why I suggest to everyone to travel there during the autumn and spring seasons.
