The road to Mustang from Beni is one of the dangerous ever road; on the bank of the Kali Gandaki River. Riding through typical Thakali villages, the world deepest gorge (Kali Gandaki Gorge), and of the power center of Hindu religion Muktinath Temple. And crossing between the world 7th and 10th highest peaks Mountain Mt. Dhaulagiri 8,167 meters (26,795 ft) and Mt. Annapurna 8091m. (26,545 ft) is the lifetime experience on your bike. The beauty of Kali Gandaki valley (Marpha, Jomsom, Kagbeni, etc) is another attraction of this trip before entering Upper Mustang.
While entry in Upper Mustang needs to register a special permit at the ACAP office at Kagbeni. This permit will allow you to explore for 10 days all the way to Nepal China (Tibet) border Korala border one of the highest border. And this permit only issues by an authorized Trekking Company. If you forget to registered the permit in Kagebeni, may have to come back or pay a fine in the Lo Monthang ACAP office. To do the Upper Mustang Motorbike Trip, a licensed holder guide is mandatory because this is the rule of the Nepal Government.
